Jelq Constituents


Jelqing, at the whole, is a simple technique, but it may take a while for a man starting it to master it, so improvements will be visible many months after starting this exercise. When one starts this exercise, at the beginning, the penis needs to get accustomed to the pressure applied to it. That is why you should aim to get the right intensity and duration in time, not from the first time. By doing so, the blood supply in the penis will develop and the tissues in the penis will become used to the exercise.

Erection Level
The erection level is very important. If you do the jelq exercise with a very low erection level or if you allow the erection to subside for too long before you correct it, the pressure between each stroke will vary a lot. The start of the stroke will be performed at a too low pressure and the end of the stroke will be performed at a much higher pressure. And this leads to a greater girth development toward the glans, making the penis look like a baseball bat.

You should allow a minimum erection level of 40% to 50%. The greater the erection is, the more effect the jelq has on the girth of the penis. And, the lower the erection is, the more effect it has on the length of the penis. Some men gain length easily, while others gain girth increases. But jelqing with erections which are higher than 80% should not be done before you gain some experience.

Grip
The grip during the jelq can be applied in various ways. But however it is applied, there are some common factors. The grip can be applied in many ways. However it is applied, there are some important common factors.

Grip Factors

  • Strength – There should be a matching strength and diameter of the grip to the erection level to avoid changing pressure during a stroke.
  • Consistency – The grip should be consistent during the stroke. It is easy to increase or to rotate the grip during a stroke subconsciously.
  • Starting at the base – The grip should be attaches low down.
The Ok grip can be applied in two ways. One way is with the palms up (which is a standard OK) and the other with the palms down (which is an overhand OK). Even if the grip is generally called the OK grip, the thumb and the forefinger should not necessarily meet. The important thing is o keep the blood effectively. So, if it works to grip the end of the forefinger with the thumb or if it works to keep a thumb and forefinger in the shape of a U, you should do it because the most important thing is to do what fits you best. A grip in the shape of a U (a pinch grip) which is applied vertically will tend to work on the corpora cavernosa, bringing more girth gains.

If you have no intention of correcting a bend of the penis, the grip should be applied straight. But if a gentle correction of a bend is required, the grip should be applied diagonally, having the leading edge of the grip on the inside of the bend. But you shouldn’t expect overnight correction of the bend, because this is a process that takes time and it is also a limited process.

The effects of jelqing are a combination of stretching and internal pressure. If the stretching and the length are what you aim for, than a grip that doesn’t trap blood so effectively but is stronger is more advisable. This effect may be achieved with the rotation of the grip at the point of the application. But if the first grip becomes a short stretch at the tip of the penis while the second grip is applied, it is less likely to achieve length gains.

You should be careful not to damage the dorsal nerve, the nerve which runs along the top of the penis in the middle. Also, there is a very sensitive nerve bundle in the top middle of the penis just below the glans and you should avoid this also by terminating the stroke an inch before the glans or by avoiding this area with a grip biased to sideway pressure. A grip with the palms down isn’t so likely to cause nerve damage and can allow the stroke to be continued all the way to the glans.

In order to ensure that the whole penis is worked out strongly, the grip shouldn’t be the same during a session, it should be varied. Mixing standard grips with the palms down grips and changing the rotation of the grip at the point of application should become a habit in your routine.

It is best to have your workouts at full intensity. Even with a good warm up, a lot of spots that appear afterwards can be avoided by applying a low intensity grip initially and by increasing it during the first minute of the exercise.

Angle and Position
An upward angle, meaning the penis pointing towards the ceiling will add most of the gains to the tunica which is a lot harder to stretch than the ligaments, so this angle should be used to minimize length gains (combined with high level erections). An upward angle is usually associated with a standard OK grip. With this angle, it is a lot harder to grip close to the base of the penis.

A downward angle, meaning the penis pointing toward the floor, will stretch the ligaments more. It is usually associated with the overhand OK grip and a lot of men find it easier to get a grip at the base of the penis and to get a greater pump effect from each stroke.

With a standard OK grip, stroking with the right hand at the same time with pulling the shaft to the left, and with the left hand pulling to the right, will apply stretch to the ligaments at both sides. Also, pulling in the same direction as the hand you use with an overhand OK has a similar effect.

Some men think that jelqing while standing increases the blood pressure in the penis, this having as an effect an increase in the effectiveness. Also, jelqing while sitting with the legs higher than the penis has a positive effect. This also encourages a slumped back, giving you easier access to the base of the penis and increasing the downward angle during the jelq.

Stroke
The speed of each stroke is very important. Stroke times that last less than three seconds should be avoided. It is easy to start at a good rate but to increase to the speed of the masturbation if the concentration is lost. It would be advisable to time the stroke rate (either by counting or with a watch or a metronome) because in this way you are sure that the speed you are using is constant.

You can increase the strength of the grip without encouraging an increase of the speed of the pressure during the stroke by lengthening the time of the stroke.

In order to encourage gains in the length of the penis, many men end each stroke in a short light stretch, very similar to the JAI stretch.
